“If you can get invited to the Island be sure and go. Excellent expwrience. Course fun and playable but almost never see the Ocean. Condition excellent."

“This is a layout carved through thick island vegetation. Water comes into play on many holes creating a wide variety of shot options. Great conditioning. While the Club is a vacation get away spot, once you step on to the golf course, you get the feeling there is nothing else on the club. When you are in the middle of the course it is intensely quiet! A rare experience on a golf course."

“This George Cobb design is the perfect course for its purpose...a private resort course that can accommodate and entertain players of various skills. It is never going to be a Top 100 in the world, but the Club is unique, beginning with the location on Bald Head Island in North Carolina. There is no driving to this place. You'll need to take a ferry. Golf carts provide the only transportation on the island. Worth noting...8 of the first 9 holes play right-to-left. On the back side 6 of the 9 play left-to-to right. The back nine is more challenging than the front. I like how the course builds that way. Elevation changes are mostly subtle, save for the par-3, 16th. It plays downhill, across water, into a crosswind. The greens were mostly tame with few surprises, though they can be stiffened with more speed."
