“Mill Creek Golf Club is a Rick Robbins design located in Mebane, North Carolina. Established in 1995, Mill Creek plays as a par 72 at a maximum of 6,992 yards with a course rating of 74.2 and a slope of 142. This Parkland course winds through a wooded residential development with gentle elevation changes and several meandering streams and water hazards. Mill Creek is a fair but not extremely challenging test of golf with manageable par 4s, reachable par 5s, and a good mix of par 3s. Greens are contoured and generally well protected but not excessively sloped. Several tee shots, especially the par 5 2nd require threading a ball through a tree-lined chute. Many hazards and waste areas lurk to gobble up errant shots and add to the difficulty. There is a good variety of holes at Mill Creek with several holes playing somewhat downhill across all the par 3s (8, 17), 4s (1, 11, 15), and 5s (12) but only one uphill hole, the par 5 7th. Neither faders nor drawers of the ball are favored with 4 doglegs left (9, 10, 11, and 16) and 4 doglegs right (1, 3, 14, and 15). Due to the sub-7,000-yard length from the back tees, there are no long par 4s but a couple of the par 5s (2 and 12) qualify while the par 3 4th is a longer test as well. There are some nice, short par 4s but they all float in the 385–395-yard range without offering a drivable option. The majority of the greens at Mill Creek are very open to any type of ball flight. There are no greens that solely demand a lofted approach although a few pin positions, namely on 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, and 18, preclude a low runner. Almost all holes allow any type of tee shot except for the 6th and 14th which favor a fade and the 10th which begs for a draw. Mill Creek is in good condition with reasonably quick and firm fairways. Greens were a tad slow but perhaps that was due to the heavy recent rains. All the bunkers were consistent although a bit firm for my tastes. Mill Creek is a fun, residential golf course which provides a good test with good variety and decent conditioning. It will not win any awards, but Mill Creek is certainly worth playing and provides an enjoyable round of golf."

“Would absolutely get off the highway to play this course! One of the best well kept semi-private courses in the area, and we travel about 45 minutes away regularly to play it. The front nine is woven in through tight tree lines while the back nine opens up a bit more and incorporates more fescue areas. The course rewards straight shots and is very visually appealing. Would highly suggest in the fall when the leaves change!"
