“I made my way to Dogwoods on a weekend trip to Memphis and, while a bit out of the way (1.5 hour drive), I was pleasantly surprised. While the course has seen better days in terms of conditioning (bunkers were in tough shape with overgrowth), the course has an excellent variety of hole layouts and the underlying design of an excellent course. The hilly terrain and sloped fairways offered thoughtful attack angles on most shots and holes do not feel repetitive. In terms of bang for the buck its hard to do better plus the replay rate (also including cart), can make this trip a little more palatable if you are open to the drive and 36 holes. Finally -- the people in the clubhouse couldn't be friendlier, and the course offered $1 beers and $5 lunches!"
