The Country Club of Jackson is a 27-hole facility in Jackson, Miss., which has hosted the PGA Tour's Sanderson Farms Championship since 2013. John Fought and Mike Gogel made some significant improvements in 2008, including updating fairway bunkering and greens at this Dick Wilson original. “An older style layout with a flat topography, well conditioned and it doesn't beat you up if you have a wayward shot. No trick holes with unseen hazards. An easy course to play day after day."

“A Dick Wilson design that has been worked on several times over the years, most recently by John Fought. The course hosts a PGA Tour event and is quite difficult from the tips. The par 4's are pleasant and some are quite difficult. The fairway bunkering is very good and I liked how it framed the fairways. The green complexes are good if somewhat unimaginative. Conditioning was excellent. The greens were firm and rolled true. A fun course to play."

“Country Club of Jackson is a very good golf course no doubt about that as it hosts the Sanderson Farms PGA event yet it does not have some of the attributes that would set it apart from some very nearly excellent golf courses. I thought the course and hole layouts were good but not great; there were a few really good golf holes like the drivable par 4 on the back nine that has a very challenging green layout so that if you miss hitting it on the green or miss the drive in the wrong spot it makes the second shot nearly impossible to get anywhere near the pin. There is also some reachable par 5s with good risk reward and some par 4 holes that have very challenging hazards to avoid both off the tee and on the approach. The conditioning of the golf course is a plus; it is obvious that they work diligently on keeping this golf course in very good shape, which means fast greens and firm fairways. I enjoyed the golf course and would love to play it again in the not too distant future."

“Really strong green complexes and nice topography enhance the course. The course installed a new bunker on the 16th hole on the right hand side of the fairway, along with 3, 11 and 14."
