“A challenging course with generally good conditions. Pace of play was good and I would come back if in the area. A decent value for the money."

“I enjoyed the challenge of the course. Greens were in good shape and were firm, but fairways were soft and over watered. The course offers some nice risk reward holes. The difficult holes are generally the longer par 4s, but any errant tee shot will create issues on this course. Gnarly rough and bunkers make up and downs difficult around all greens. A challenge from any tees."

“Very nice course with many elevation changes, hard and fast fairways and receptive greens. Condition is good."

“An excellent Nicklaus design set in the pine forests north of Gulfport. Nicklaus made brilliant use of the land. His holes along the creek are really good, #3,#15,#16 and #17. There is a great blend of short holes and long holes. He gives you plenty of room off the tee, but to have the best angles you need to shape your shots. The green complexes were very good. For a Nicklaus course they were tame compared to some, but there is still enough movement that you have to be careful. Getting up and down if you miss the green is doable, unlike some of his earlier designs. While you still have to hit the ball high with some spin to get at some of his greens, there were many instances where you could run the ball up on the green. "

“Huge piece of property. You drive for miles to get to the clubhouse. The last few holes next to the river and are quite scenic. The greens can be challenging when the greens speeds are fast due to quite a bit of slope in several of them."

“The par 3's are good, as are the par 5's, but the strength of the design is the excellent blend of par 4's."

“The course is peaceful and tranquil and the views of the little Bilox river and big Bilox with its white sandy shores bring a very nice ambiance to the course. It's a fun resort course that's challenging enough with a few holes that make you think about hitting something other than driver off the tee. "
