“Shot options: ; Hole by Hole comments:Hole #1: Classic risk/reward off the tee, bite off as much as you can.; Hole #2: Hole is all about the tee shot, a slight recofiguration on tee shot could encourage more aggressive shot. ; Hole #3: Good hole, but doesn't make you think that much other than creek on left, plenty of room to right.; Hole #4: Not much thinking required here - can hammer tee shot because no worry, but must miss bunkers on layup. And the green slopes away in the front. ; Hole #5: Requires good long iron or hybrid. ; Hole #6: Drive isn't hard, but pin placements on right side of green require careful thought.; Hole #7: Marsh on right requires careful thought on tee shot, plenty of options.; Hole #8: Long par 3 with false front, need to hit far enough. ; Hole #9: Long drive required, need to be straight enough, green isn't that hard.; Hole #10: Both shots on this par require thinking, and plenty of penalty for a miss. One of the better holes.; Hole #11: Meaty par 5, layup needs to be placed properly, but green easy to manage.; Hole #12: Long drive needed, but if long enough, rolls out a lot for shorter iron.; Hole #13: Somewhat narrow green, so not easy to hit with longer iron.; Hole #14: Given water around and in front of green, hitting fairway is critical. Bunkers configured such that many options are available, so an excellent hole for shot options AND required shot; Hole #15: Enticing to longer player to drive this hole, and probably gets lots of those players to try, so a good hole.; Hole #16: No shot options, but requires 2 really good shots to get a birdie putt.; Hole #17: Not hard to par, but many tiers means a precise shot required for a birdie.; Hole #18: Need a good enough drive to have a good chance at birdie, but those seeking par won't have much trouble. ; : Challenge: From back tees, enough length to make it a good challenge, and enough tiers on the greens to require good iron play to go deep. ; Layout variety: Front nine seems like it has a lot of the same holes (except for 7 with the marsh), while better variety on the back nine. 3 long and 1 short par 3. ; Aesthetics: The holes that had water were pleasing to play, but the ones without it were unexciting. ; Conditioning: Very firm course, although played it on a hot day. Was disappointed with sand bunkers that weren't raked well, and thus bottom out on splash shots; Character: The holes that had water (marsh, creek or lake) are a good example of classic parkland course, but a number of holes didn't provide any good options and were a bit barren; Fun: When I am playing a tough course like this and my wife says it was fun, that’s a pretty good outcome."

“The course lacks naturalness. It was manufactured and it feels that way. I enjoy playing golf so I don't mind when I get invited to play here."
