“Mike Devries did a wonderful job at BHCC. The tree removal has opened the course providing better sites lines & enhancing the Colt design. The creek running down the middle of #8 is interesting & still controversial per my host. It has addressed the drainage issue & definitely forces the player to make a decision. Play the Par 5 left as a 3 shot hole or challenge the big tree, thick rough, slopping fairway to the creek for an opportunity to reach this large green in 2! Very little play & no tee times results in a very enjoyable experience & a course that seems untouched at times. This area is rich with solid courses…..Bloomfield Hills, Franklin Hills & Oakland Hills!"

“Gorgeous view from the clubhouse and great use of elevation and rolling terrain. One of the few solo Harry Colt designs in the country, and I love the way the logo showcases the outer loop layout of the front nine and the inner loop layout of the back nine. Fun members course with wide open landscape but ability to recover."

“I love this course. It is neighbor to two other high class courses: Oakland Hills and Franklin Hills. It is more fun than either of them. It is routed on rolling hills, is always in good condition, and has some of the best greensites you will play.If you get an invite drop everything and go play it."

“A great, well kept country club style course. The redesign turned out great and is worth a visit. Some great holes and a combination of hills, trees, and water provides variety."
