“A hilly public course with a variety of holes. Good condition."

“Whiskey Creek Golf Club featured many elevated tees with beautiful views of the Maryland countryside. The course is not walking friendly with long distances from green to tee. The course was a little over watered and with many of the greens protected in the front, the option of playing the ball on the ground was not an option. The green complexes provided some interest with nice rolling features and a few tiered greens as well."

“Whiskey Creek constant elevation changes throughout your round are rather shocking being that it is only 30 miles from the nations capital. The 5th hole exemplifies this, as it gives you a spectacular view of the Blue Ridge Mountains as you drop some 30-40 yards in elevation. The course not only moves up and down but also left to right, as it has a nice balance of dogleg left and rights. A unique characteristic and finishing touch is the 19th century stone house that sits in the middle of the 18th fairway."

“A very fun course that winds up and down with a lot of elevation changes. A course with pretty vistas that takes thought off the tee as not every hole requires using a driver. A great mix of easy (hole 8) and challenging (hole 12), with great par 5s, especially the memorable 18th with the ruins of a civil war era house right in the middle of the fairway."

“Whiskey Creek is a fun course to play with many elevation changes. The fairways are generous, but the approach shots can be demanding. The greens are narrow and long typically and you are playing from uneven lies quite often. The par fives on the course are tremendous and the par threes require use of many different shots from long to short. A worthwile visit..."

“Up and down the hills, plays through ruins of old mill; great playing environment and generally good condition; clubhouse has great ambiance; Price is a little high but generally worth it. Tough course to walk as it gets pretty spread out and tons of up and down."
