“Marlborough CC fits several categories among Eastern MA private golf. It has pedigree, with nine designed by Wayne Stiles, but a second nine built in the 60s that might hold it back a bit. It exists like many clubs in the "middle," not a chart-topper but well worth a play, with initiation fees and budgets that befit the club's distance from Boston. Efforts are afoot to upgrade the course and experience, and given the solid starting point, there is potential here if some trees are removed, and the newer nine is brought up to the standard of the old."
