“Kernwood is a solid under-the-radar local private club with a great set of Donald Ross greens. It has many of the quintessential New England golden-age elements, blind shots, quick back-to-front sloping greens, rock outcroppings, but also sits along the Danvers River, which leads out to Beverly Harbor. Wind is ever-present, and a course that looks short on the scorecard packs a punch for those who try to bully their way around."
