“Cape Cod CC is a solid public course with a unique pedigree as one of the few Devereaux Emmet courses available to the public. There are many old-world features here that have not been touched since the beginning, and the course is well worth a play. This is why it is disappointing that the course will potentially close at the end of 2022 to make way for a solar farm. This would be a definite loss to the Cape Cod golf community, and the architecture community as well. Standout holes include the beautiful par three 9th on the banks of Coonamessett Pond, and a great stretch of holes from 10 to 15, including a massive 255y par three at 12, and the famed "Volcano" green at #14, a truly unique hole that would be a tremendous loss."
