“Evansville Country Club was a fun golf course with a good variety of holes which presented strong greens and aprons. The holes that stood out to me were the short par 3 8th, which required a precise wedge. The par 3 11th is scenic which requires a carry over water and the par 4 16th has a great green reveal once you turn the corner and look down. The finishing hole requires a tee shot out to the right to avoid the stand of trees at the corner and to open up the right angle into the hole. Evansville Country Club is a fun course that I would enjoy playing every day!"

“Complete reroute of 5 holes and renovation of all the others in 2022-2023. Club took unused land adjacent to some old holes and moved tennis courts from middle of the course to an area near the clubhouse. In rerouting 5 holes, the club now has a range between holes 1 and 9 w/ a tee on 2 sides whereas they had no range before. Course allows players to hit different clubs off the tee throughout the round based on the yardage needed to be in the ideal spot for the approach, also there is good variety throughout the round on which sides of the fairways & greens a player needs to favor. A few holes provide dramatic elevation changes, however several holes play along floodplain adjacent to Pigeon Creek."

“A beloved course of mine prior to the renovation. It is suspected that Donald Ross did a routing map 7 years before the course was built by Leonard Macomber and Wendall Miller in 1924. That would make it only one of three Ross designs in Indiana. Despite this the club decided they needed a better driving range and have Beau Welling build 5 totally new holes. The big loss is the old number 10. An excellent downhill half par hole replaced by a sub 400 yard par 4. The 8-9 combo replaced an awkward par 5 with another awkward par 5, and a very good short one shorter replaced by a unique very short one shot hole. Course is only slightly worse, and they did get a real driving range."

“Beautiful courses on hilly terrain. Holes are somewhat repetitive, but a course that all levels of players can enjoy. Excellent practice areas."

“Very fun and playable older golf course that has a solid routing around a smaller landlocked piece of property closer to the city. Evansville Country Club is a fairly traditional parkland style golf course that can be played by various levels of players, ability wise, so the enjoyment factor is high for most. Although the course is older and landlocked, preventing the club from stretching out the yardage too much further, the landing areas make the course play a lot longer than the 6100 yards on the scorecard."
