“Culver Academies has in its possession potentially the best 9-hole golf course on the planet. Never before have I seen a 9-hole course full of such variety, interest, and innovation packed into such a small, sleepy package. William Langford designed the Culver Golf Course is part of a potential 27 holes, but the latter two nines were never built. The course enjoyed a quiet existence until the 90s, where restoration efforts were undertaken to uncover and highlight this masterpiece. Today, the course is a wildly entertaining affair with challenge, beauty, and fun around every dogleg. The most recent efforts have greens expanding to theoretical borders that make them some of the biggest putting surfaces in America, a couple of them 50-60 yards long. If ever getting the chance to stop by, you won't regret it."
