Overview
The Robert Trent Jones Jr. golf course is routed through meandering streams and the Trail Creek, which comes into play on a majority of holes—seven holes on the front nine alone. The golf at Sun Valley Resort is some of the best in Idaho, but the skiing might be the highlight here, as the resort is a frequent host to alpine races.

“A resort course that should be enjoyable for golfers of all ranks with a handful of holes that present variety, visual interest and challenge. Most of the holes fairly straightforward, lacking both meaningful design features as well as challenge and risk/reward."

“Scenic, playable golf course. Elevation and streams provide both visual benefits and strategic obstacles."

“Trail Creek Golf Course at the Sun Valley Resort is quite scenic with the mountains nearby, presenting a majestic backdrop. After the first hole, the course gets more interesting. Some of the fairways are narrow with old-growth timber framing the hole. Some of the water hazards act as reflection pools which add to the beauty of the course. It was a pleasant experience."
