“Site of Lotte championship for the LPGA. A solid Hawaiian course with some very good holes and nice greens."

“While this course hosts the LPGA's Lotte Championship it has a resort type feel. It unfortunately meanders through a subdivision of large tract homes which detracts from the ambience of the course. There was a significant amount of water/lakes on the course but frankly the impact on playing is limited. However, deep large fairway bunkers impact driving accuracy and access to landing areas. Greens were midsized and protected by large deep bunkers. Fairways and greens were firm and fast; however, the conditioning of the greens was poor - turf was very thin resulting in numerous dead spots from ball marks."

“This Ernie Els designed course has been converted from an old sugar plantation. The course provides wide open vistas but is deceptively challenging as water comes into play on at least 13 holes. Depending on the golfer's selection of tee box, the numerous fairway bunkers can come into play. With over 110 bunkers throughout the course, avoiding traps is a constant challenge. On most greens, bunkers are found on both the front right and left side placing a premium on accuracy. The course provides the golfer numerous risk rewards depending on how much the golfer wants to carry water hazards or fly particular bunkers in the fairway. A majority of the greens are raised increasing the importance on approach accuracy. With the course just off the Pacific Ocean, the Island trade winds can play a significant factor on shot selection."

“One of the nicest courses on Oahu. Has a good layout and pretty difficult from the back tees. Lots of good/ strategically placed bunkers. A good staff. The clubhouse and practice facilities need to be improved to make it a standout."
