“This beautifully conditioned layout just north of Atlanta was originally built in 1956. Various designers have worked on the course including Willard Byrd and Joe Lee, but the most significant recent changes were done by Tom Fazio. The North course is part of a 36 hole layout amongst rolling terrain in a very aesthetically pleasing setting. Many of the holes have substantial elevation changes making distance control an important part of the golfers game. Fairways are fairly wide but numerous dog legs put importance on hitting on the proper side of the fairway. The greens while generally substantial in size are well protected by bunkers increasing the importance on flying a number of the greens. The greens are very true and well-conditioned, but many have substantial slopes putting pressure on speed control. Overall, the North Course provides a great golfing experience on a beautifully conditioned track."
