Overview
As far as Jupiter-area courses go, The Dye Preserve is a bit off the beaten path, nearly 10 miles inland and west of I-95. The Pete Dye design has many of the late architect’s defining features, including railroad tie-lined water hazards, deep pot bunkers, teardrop mounding and intimidating sightlines. With the tips nearly reaching 7,300 yards and course rating just shy of 76, the course is a stern test. Like many Jupiter courses, PGA Tour and LPGA Tour players are members at The Dye Preserve.

“Great mix of long and short holes. Par 5s and 3s play to the four points of the compass. The front nine is predominantly North-South whereas the back nine is mainly East-West so the player will have to play in all wind conditions. Each hole is distinct from others in design. The only common feature is elevated greens surrounded by chipping areas on some, but not all, holes. The fairways are undulating and provide uneven lies in certain areas of the fairway. The green complexes are very challenging, especially when playing with wind, which is usually the case. Greens have subtle breaks that can be difficult to read. From the back tees, the player is required to shape the tees shot left to right or right to left on some holes. Approach shots must be hit into the correct quadrant of the green to stay on. Closely mown chipping areas provide many options to chip, flop or putt from off the green. The course plays firm and fast. Well-struck iron shots will hold the greens, but care must be taken on many holes to allow shots to run out or else your ball can roll off the green. Water features and abundant wildlife add interest to the course, which winds through a cypress wetland preserve. Housing and farmland are on the perimeter of the course only."

“The layout is excellent. The holes are challenging, but affords golfers of all still levels to navigate the course fairly."

“A secluded club, with a course cutting through Florida's nature areas gives a round of solitude. However, a very obvious Pete Dye penal design will challenge the player to not have ones "good walk spoiled". The clubhouse is a great lunch or post round "hang"."
