Overview
Located in Naples and styled after the Mediterranean countryside is the idyllic Club at Mediterra. The club is home to two courses designed by Tom Fazio, the South and North, which opened in 2000 and 2002, respectively. The courses are known for their environmentally friendly designs, with the South course incorporating vast stretches of natural preserves and existing wetlands into the layout, often bordering fairways or protecting putting surfaces, creating dramatic approaches and intimidating tee shots. Tom Fazio made significant renovations to the course in 2015, renovating bunkers, adding new irrigation systems and regrassing fairways and greens. Improvements to tee shot strategy can be seen at the dogleg par-5 seventh, with bunkers shrinking the fairway landing zone and a hazard bordering the entire right side of the hole.

“Residential /preserve setting north of downtown Naples. Not walkable, some long distances from green to tee. Very well maintained course with thoughtful and indigenous landscaping. Six different tees allow players of all skill levels to enjoy the course. Tom Fazio design - built in 2000. Bermuda grass. Consistent with other Fazio designs there are significant Bunkers throughout and low mow areas around many greens allow for a bailout but then a potentially challenging up and down. If you can, arrive early and enjoy the outstanding practice facilities and large, well-stocked pro shop. Try to stay for drinks / dinner at the outdoor patio overlooking the South course 18th hole. Food is excellent!"

“The more challenging of the 2 courses on property. Good layout & condition, the elevated greens can be very challenging."

“Distinctive Fazio bunkering. Character and Fun/Playability suffer a bit with the abundance of long drives between green to tee, seemingly over half the holes you drive more than 5 minutes...it is not a course you could walk. Green complexes were rather boring. Wonderful paspalum surfaces on the greens, tees, and fairways that played firm and fast with the exception of a few small scar marks on 5-6 of the greens. Standout holes include the 7th, 11th, and 18th holes."
