“New Smyrna Golf Club is a true hidden gem and a must play for anyone who appreciates classic golf course architecture. Originally designed by Donald Ross, the course has all the hallmarks of his timeless design philosophy, strategic green complexes, subtle contours, and shot values that reward thoughtful play over sheer power."

“Excellent greens, with undulations typical of Donald Ross, are the highlight of the golf course and provides the greatest challenge. Otherwise, the golf course is flat and uninspiring, and the tee shot can be played from 100 yards left or right of fairway center, presenting very little challenge. If you are in the New Smyrna area and you haven't had the pleasure of playing Donald Ross greens, you can get a taste of his workmanship at New Smyrna Golf Club."

“If it weren't for the greens this course would be better at growing corn."

“Updated green complexes bring out the old Donald Ross bones here. A heavily traveled local track, but challenging and fun."

“Old Ross Muni course that has had a couple of recent updates. Typical flat FL course with short walks between holes. Nice greens, many slightly elevated and undulating. Good condition for Muni and good bunkering around greens. There are several creeks, ditches, and ponds that are well placed. Good value!"
