Overview
Built on uniquely hilly terrain about 30 minutes north of Tampa, Lake Jovita’s South course is largely tree-lined and features plenty of elevation changes. The par-5 11th features a 30-yard drop from tee to green, which provides a scenic view when you crest the hill and look down on the green. There is a nice blend of doglegs in both directions on the South course, allowing golfers to shape it whichever way they prefer.

“Great golf course with some very fast & well conditioned greens. Very open with just enough water to give you some forced carries."

“For Central/West Fl. there is a surprising amount of elevation changes combined with a great mix in the layout of long and short par 4's and 3's. A couple of the doglegs are 90 degree, so getting the ball in the right position off the tee is critical or you have little chance of hitting the green in regulation. That starts with hole #1 where if you don't hit it down the right side of the fairway you are blocked out by trees, which are old and large and that makes cutting corners on the doglegs difficult. While not overly challenging there is enough challenge for single digit handicappers while not just beating up higher handicappers. The course was a lot of fun and was in great condition. They are just did a bunker renovation project that is really well done."

“I'm not a fan of housing on both sides of every hole. But they did a good job making the holes different from one another."

“I thoroughly enjoyed the South Course at Lake Jovita. It has some nice changes in elevation and there is a good mix with respect to length, direction and difficulty in the design. Well worth the visit."
