“The Country Club of Waterbury boasts one of Connecticut's only Donald Ross 18 hole layouts, routed exceptionally across hilly terrain with several long par 4s to challenge the player. This par-69 layout invites players to use different clubs off the tee to tackle sharp dog-legs and short par 4s."

“Solid old-school Donald Ross layout. Recent tree clearing exercise has been a huge positive for the club. There are several very compelling green complexes, but also a host of fairly weak, bland holes that leave something to be desired, with the 7th being incredibly awkward and fit-in between a great short par 4 (7) and a great short par 3 (9)."

“One of the best and most underrated courses in Connecticut, Donald Ross's CC of Waterbury is an excellent course featuring great variety, elevation changes, and some really memorable holes. You begin with a fun downhill par 4 from the clubhouse and continue playing excellent holes throughout. I particularly like the stretch farthest from the clubhouse (7-12) with its rocky outcroppings and aesthetic water hazards. I highly recommend golf architecture fans keep Waterbury on their radar and play if given the chance."

“Classic Ross. Tough course, par 69 with no let up holes."
