“Once thought of as one of the best municipal courses in America, Richter Park is still one of the better public courses in Connecticut and something Danbury residents should be proud of. The course straddles the New York-CT border and features a short, but tight test with plenty of water and forest to contend with. I preferred the front 9, with its more memorable holes surrounded by beautiful lakes and vistas. The back 9 is tighter, hillier and more unforgiving. It could likely benefit from some tree-removal. The par 5 12th is Richter's signature hole, a tough dogleg right par 5 featuring a blind second shot and peninsular green jutting into the water. The uber-private Morefar Back O'Beyond can be seen in the distance from this green across the lake."

“Richter Park is a public course in CT that offers a lot of the routing and scenery from private courses in the area. It is usually well maintained and utilizes the water very well. Fun fact: if you look closely on the par 3 over water, you can spot a glimpse of the ultra-exclusive Morefar course on the other side of the lake"

“Beautiful golf course, fun from the right tees. First-timers will find a few blind shots challenging. But once played, that difficulty disappears and it's a lot of fun."

“One of the best municipal courses in the state of CT. Highlighted by wonderful holes that circle around a local reservoir, the course is usually in great condition. A good variety of golf holes with beautiful par 3s."
