“The South course at Lake of Isles is worth the time, if you can get out. The course is a bit more tame than the North in its elevation changes and vistas, but also brings less of a resort course feel to it. Don't get me wrong, there are still plenty of trees, reeds, and water features (the two course share the same general topography!) but the layout is such that the South sits more down into the land. As with the North, the hospitality is excellent, with a shared clubhouse, including the great bar food available."

“The private course of the 36-hole facility at Foxwoods Casino, Lake of Isles South a very challenging and well-conditioned course set deep in the forest. The holes here are gorgeous but often lacking memorable architecture with very bland green complexes. I prefer the public course at Lake of Isles."

“Spectacular golf course. A little more open than the North course off the tees, but tougher once you get to the greens. Many of the greens are well guarded so if you don't have a great approach it's better to take your medicine and lay up. As it's a private course, the greens are in near perfect condition. There's one island green and one peninsula green for 2 of the par threes. Both surrounded by water. This is a no brainer if you get the invite"
