“Cherry Creek Country Clubs takes advantage of a wide variety of natural features including ponds/streams on some sections of the course but also more barren sandy waste areas on others. Holes 15-17, which run along Cherry Creek itself, are particularly strong, with a well-executed short risk/reward par 4, a par-5 with trouble left on the entire hole, and a par-3 with an interesting green set at an angle to the line of play. Other holes like 1, 9 and 10 are not as strong as the course's residential development can be a bit intrusive."

“Strongest set of par 4s that I can remember on essentially any course that I have played. From the short 1 to the tough tests of 9 and 14, I love how every par 4 here asks a different question. Same comment on the par 5s. Think this is a top 40ish course based on the par 4s and 5s, the routing of the entire course and then the conditioning and other categories. My biggest issue here was the par 3s. I had the same exact yardage and shot on all of the par 3s except the shorter 6th, and even the 6th was not anything particularly unique for such an otherwise fantastic golf course. I think the routing is really good and sharp use of the land with the inner and outer circle 8 concepts employed by Flynn in his design. Certainly gained a newfound respect for Flynn after walking this course. Challenge was marked down a bit with rationale being I thought green complexes weren't particularly difficult on the day I evaluated the course (course played wet) and while there had been quite a bit of rain, course did play wet and drainage wasn't necessarily on the level of a top 50 course for that aspect."

“Overshadowed by the similarly named Cherry Hills (you'd think they would have considered that), this Nicklaus is underrated and a true championship test. Easy walk with great waste bunkering."

“Great Nicklaus design with a great clubhouse. Fun course to play, and keeps interest for low and high handicappers."

“A very nice private club with a nice clubhouse and good food. The course is solid if not inspiring."
