“If you live in the East Bay or North Bay Area of San Francisco, or plan to visit Wine Country, don't miss this course. It is a terrific experience, challenging championship caliber golf, not over the top difficult, beautiful, really first rate facility. Conditioning is exceptional. You'd be challenged to find better turf at any course anywhere, daily fee, private, luxury resort. It's in terrific shape any time of year. They really paid attention to drainage. Even last year when NorCal had 150 percent normal rainfall, the course remained in excellent condition, not just playable, excellent condition. The clubhouse sits at the highest point of the property with a commanding view of virtually the entire course. The designers did not feel compelled to plant many trees so views are good all over the course. Sitting out on the veranda after your round is an experience you won't soon forget. Good menu, a handful of craft brews in addition to the standard American lager selection. A few good wines by the glass. It's affiliated with the Cache Creek Casino which is adding 450 new hotel rooms to go with the existing couple hundred, so if you like to gamble and golf, this place is a destination unto itself, about two hours drive from Oakland International Aiport and about 1:15 from the Sacramento airport."
