Overview
Formerly a private 230-acre estate in Rancho Mirage, Sensei Porcupine Creek reopened in 2022 as an exclusive resort offering a variety of packages, including a stay-and-play Golf Optimal Wellbeing Program. The five-night structured program includes one-on-one lessons with a golf professional, a complimentary Whoop fitness tracker, spa treatment, fitness assessment and unlimited rounds of golf on their 18-hole course. The scenic course receives high marks from our panelists for conditioning and has many elevated tee shots with views of the Santa Rosa Mountains. To add to the exclusive feel of the course, tee times are staggered in 20-minute intervals so there is plenty of space between groups. The golf menu at Sensei Porcupine Creek is a specialty menu curated by Nobu which includes traditional Nobu bento boxes as well as more traditional eats like hot dogs.

“A beautiful setting in Rancho Mirage with two very different nine hole layouts. The front 9 is relatively flat and landscaped with endless flowers and stone work punctuated by an enviable collection of contemporary sculpture. Water hazards come into play on a number of holes which benefit from very good design variety, without a high degree of difficulty. The back nine is routed along the edge and through the higher elevation offering more compelling views and elevation changes including a signature par 3 that drops over 200 feet and plays over 200 yards. The driving range is an oasis to hone your game, and the course is never crowded. According to the professional staff the course received less than 1000 rounds per year...so no need to rush your pace of play!"
