“A very fun shorter private course in the East Bay city of Orinda. Designed by Willie Watson in the early 1900's, this tight / hilly course provides dramatic elevation changes as you weave your way through the hills. Large landing areas with good recovery options help to mitigate the forced carries into the firm / fair greens. The day that I played it was hot (approaching 100 degrees) which really provided for firm / fast fairways and greens. Orinda is built into the land which is why there are so many uphill / downhill shots. It's a fairly small footprint and they did a nice job using the natural aesthetics of creeks, trees, valleys. Solid shot options played into this tight layout will make for a fun time. Lot's of character and fair conditioning."

“Tight, hilly private course in East Bay. Several interesting holes stand out, like 250-yard downhill par 3 3rd, short dogleg-right par 4 14th with narrow, deep green. Conditioning could have been better, a few too many blind shots for my taste, but overall worth a look if you can get on."

“Fun, fun, fun. Loved the dramatic changes in elevation and generous landing areas. Holes play uphill, downhill, right, left. Course has creeks, valleys, hills, forced carries. But....all manageable."

“he holes varied in length (e.g., 9 is a 442-yard par 4 and 10 is a gorgeous 301-yard par 4), and the greens had a significant amount of variation--especially 5 and 18). It's hard to imagine being bored hitting approach shots into these greens."
