“Tough finishing holes on #16 - #18. Lots of dogleg lefts, great course if you like to draw the ball!"

“A very hot day in the Lincoln area made this golf course even LESS enjoyable to play. The conditioning has gone down hill since I was last there several years ago. Fairways are significantly over watered and greens are very inconsistent. Shot options and challenge are both extremely average and the character of the course screams REMODEL. I give CVCC a fun rating of only a C- primarily because it is in such rough shape."

“Interesting golf course built amongst rolling terrain bordered by large native oak trees / grasses and granite boulders. The front nine had limited shot options from the tees and into the greens playing basically right in front of you offering limited challenges. However, the back nine offered numerous shot options and challenges off the tee (holes 10, 11, 14, 15 and 18) and into greens (holes 10, 13, 14, 16 and 18). Greens were of medium size and were firm and fast when played. Fairways were soft providing limited run out, spotty in places and not consistently evenly mowed. Additionally, they were on average fairly narrow (avg of approximately 25 yds). However, the rough was not that deep allowing shots not in the fairway to be played accordingly / effectively. Regardless, the course was enjoyable to play given the variety of the layout and the challenges and views experienced on the back 9."

“All the money must be being spent on the gorgeous clubhouse instead of maintenance on the course. Greens were recently aerated and I'll give them that, but fairways were shaggy, rough is very thick, tee boxes were so thick you could catch a flyer off the tee, bunkers were poorly maintained and inconsistent. Layout is claustrophobic through trees on the front, a little more open on the back, but not an enjoyable course to play--trainwrecks lurk everywhere and the thick rough just slows down play with ball searches."
