The Augusta National Golf Club has come a long way on the media front since the days when it stubbornly insisted on televising only the back nine of the Masters.
The late Jackson Stephens, chairman of Augusta National at the time, was frequently asked about it. On one such occasion, a reporter, clearly hoping to trap him, asked him, "Do you watch the Super Bowl?"
"Fourth quarter," Stephens replied without hesitation.
These days the club has live coverage of the first two rounds on Thursday and Friday on ESPN, as well as five live channels at Masters.com. Of course, it still doesn't doesn't cater to the wishes of the masses; in 2013, for instance, in its Featured Groups showing on its website, neither featured Tiger Woods.
