Webb Simpson wasn't at this year's Ryder Cup, but he got as fired up about Sunday's Patrick Reed vs. Rory McIlroy match as much as anyone. On Saturday night, he tweeted this:
Of course, the two wound up being the opening match, but point well taken. The two scorched the Earth with a four-hole span in which they went a combined nine under. And as the instant classic unfolded, the four-time PGA Tour winner tweeted this:
But Simpson saved his best for last. He and his wife, Dowd, decided to re-enact some of their favorite moments from the match, which Reed won with one final birdie on the 18th hole. Webb, wearing some red, white and blue gear he probably has from his two Ryder Cup appearances, played the role of Reed while Dowd, dressed in Euro grey, took on McIlroy. Check it out:
