Excitement was everywhere when Tiger Woods walked onto the first tee at Muirfield and, as always, Tiger didn't disappoint. Except this time, rather than stinging a 2-iron down the middle or striping a drive 350 yards, it was entertainment of a different sort.
Related: Pressure? Of course there's pressure Tiger took what looked to be a 3- or 5-wood off the tee and yanked it left -- continuing his strange trend of hitting bad opening tee shots in majors. Not sure he would find his ball, he hit a provisional, which also went left, but it wouldn't matter. He found his first, took an unplayable and hacked it into a greenside bunker, where he got up-and-down for a pretty good bogey, all things considered. But don't take my word for it.
