Tiger Woods' failed North Carolina course is for sale for $24 million

Years before Tiger Woods' Bluejack National design opened outside Houston, Woods signed on to build what was supposed to be the first TW signature design in the U.S.

But a bad economy -- and bad Woods publicity after his driveway incident -- help send the the Cliffs at Carolina into bankruptcy in 2011, before any progress was made on the course.

The dust has finally settled, and the 795-acre plot in the hills of southern North Carolina is for sale for $24 million, according to the Asheville Citizen-Times.

The property's size and location 20 minutes south of Asheville on the South Carolina border might make it attractive for another developer to come in and build a golf community.
