Just how big of a deal is Clemson making the College Football Playoff in the state of South Carolina? Golf courses near the school are building mini football fields to show their support.
The Reserve at Lake Keowee borrowed stencils from Death Valley to create the giant Clemson Tigers logo -- and a full gridiron -- on the property's Great Lawn.
The lawn is more commonly used for resort events such as giant water-slide parties in the summer.
Now it's the site of an impressive display of school spirit for the No. 1 team in college football as it goes for the national championship.
Head coach Dabo Swinney gets playing privileges to the course, which is about 20 miles from the Clemson campus, as part of his contract with the Tigers. The coach was just named as the Associated Press' Coach of the Year, and apparently he's getting more strokes than ever as he's on top of college football.
The Reserve at Lake Keowee course is a Jack Nicklaus design in the upstate region of South Carolina and ranked No. 19 Golf Digest's Best in State rankings. Swinney has been a member since 2009 when he became head coach.
