If this was a Dos Equis commercial involving Roberto Castro, his script might read something like this: "I don't always play well, but when I do, I prefer to break course records."
The 30-year-old tour pro was up to his old tricks again on Thursday, firing an opening 62 at the Sanderson Farms to break the course record at the Country Club of Jackson (Miss.).
"It's a great golf course, but when the conditions are soft, the scores are going to be low," Castro said after.
Fair enough, but a 62 is still a 62. And it matches the score Castro shot a month ago when he broke the course record at TPC Sawgrass' Valley Course during the Web.com Tour Championship. That bogey-free round locked up his PGA Tour card for the 2015-16 season and made Thursday's round possible.
