Remarkable recovery shot helps Rickie Fowler remain bogey-free at PGA National

Through 36 holes at the Honda Classic, Rickie Fowler hasn't been victimized by "The Bear Trap." In fact, he's yet to make a mistake anywhere at PGA National. A second consecutive bogey-free 66 at one of the PGA Tour's toughest tracks has Fowler in the lead by one over Jimmy Walker.

Fowler's closest call with a blemish on the scorecard came on the par-4 1st hole, his 10th of the day. Fowler was lucky to find his ball and have a clean shot after an errant drive to the right, and he responded with this remarkable recovery that led to a par:

Fowler has won four times around the world since last year's Players. He also nearly won at TPC Scottsdale three weeks ago when he held a two-shot lead with two holes to play before eventually losing in a playoff to Hideki Matsuyama. Another couple rounds like the first two here this week will help Fowler get over that close call -- and won't hurt any of that "Big Four" talk.
