RANCHO MIRAGE, CALIF.- As the desert sun beats down on Mission Hills, the greens are getting impossibly fast and the already tricky breaks become even harder to read. Karen Stupples mis-judged her long birdie putt from the fringe on the par-5 11th so badly that she wasn't able to save par.
*Meanwhile, Yani Tseng and Suzann Pettersen birdied to go to -7, so Stupples' lead is now only one.
