'Maybe it was all the jumping up and down'

So said Michael McCandless, whose wife Allyson gave birth to the couple's first child hours after making a hole-in-one on the eighth hole of River Oaks Golf Course in Ceres, Calif., earlier this week.

"It was a pretty good day altogether," said Allyson, who used a 5-iron for the shot that was witnessed by her husband and her parents. One hole later, she went into labor. Early the next morning Gabrielle Annie was formally introduced to the world.
