Man gets caught selling stolen golf clubs because he sold them too cheaply

An Arizona man was recently arrested after selling a set of golf clubs on Craigslist. His crime? The clubs were stolen. His mistake? He sold them for too cheap.

Mesa police tracked down Rollin Johnson Jr. a day after he sold the clubs for $50, according to abc15.com. The sale drew suspicion since the clubs were valued at more than $1,000.

Authorities say a family member brought Johnson a bag of clubs that were taken from a nearby home, but that Johnson knew they were stolen when he put them up for sale. Apparently, he didn't know enough to look up their value. Whoops.

This isn't the first time we've heard about a bungling burglar in Arizona. In October, a Phoenix man was caught on camera stealing clubs from someone's garage in broad daylight and then falling on his face as he tried to make a getaway. Watch that video, because it never gets old.

Talk about sweet justice.
