Stacy Lewis had quite the adventure getting her clubs to the Women's British Open

It seems like a weekly occurrence -- an elite-level tour player in danger of not having their clubs while flying to an event.

Stacy Lewis took to Twitter after British Airways misplaced her clubs when she arrived in Scotland for this week's Ricoh Women's British Open at Turnberry.

Hours later, British Airways told Lewis to wait ... 24 hours.

Apparently, yes. During her press conference Tuesday morning, the two-time major champ told the story of her driving to London with caddie Travis Wilson to retrieve the clubs.

It was a little tougher than planned. Wilson and Lewis got a flat tire in the pitch black on the way. Worst nightmare getting worse, right?
