Greens on Mickelson's menu

HAVEN, Wis. -- Phil Mickelson had 35 minutes between the completion of his first-round 73 at Whistling Straits and the start of his second round. The new vegetarian chose greens for lunch.

Apparently unhappy with his putting stroke, Lefty went right from the scoring room to the practice putting green instead of player dining for a quick lunch, and he worked on mid-range putting for 20 minutes. He hit a couple of putts with his right hand only and was obviously struggling to find the line, missing many more than he made.

Mickelson's 1-over 73 featured nine fairways hit, nine greens in regulation and 28 putts.
