Golf Digest Podcast: Jim Furyk on being called "Mr. 58" and the unusual way he started his historic round

Jim Furyk says no fellow tour player has ever called him "The Grinder." He could get used to his new nickname, though.

“I haven’t signed anything yet and I’m not asking to be called Mr. 58," Furyk said. "But it is pretty cool, I will say that.”

Furyk's historic final round at the Travelers Championship -- the lowest in PGA Tour history -- has the 17-time tour winner and 2003 U.S. Open champ in fine form at 46. Already a Ryder Cup vice captain, Furyk has joined the conversation of potential captain's picks by Davis Love III.

However, there's still time for Furyk to play his way onto the team at this week's Barclays, the first event of the FedEx Cup Playoffs. Furyk joined us to discuss that key event and the pre-tournament clothing drive he and his wife, Tabitha, have teamed up with FedEx and Dress For Success to host.
