Ernie Els just stroked the worst putt of all time

The list of worst putts is a short but distinguished. Or should we say, notorious.

Doug Sanders' epic fail at St. Andrews in 1970. Retief Goosen, Mark Brooks and Stewart Cink flailing with the flatstick at the 2001 U.S. Open at Southern Hills. Hale Irwin whiffing a two-inch putt at the 1983 British Open to miss a playoff. Scott Hoch at the 1989 Masters. All dance floor endeavors that live in infamy.

But what Ernie Els just did at the Dunhill Links Championship might take the cake.

While certainly lacking the gravitas and importance of the aforementioned attempts, Els' putt...well, the English language lacks the vernacular to properly paint this picture:

Not what you would expect from a man nicknamed the "Big Easy," is it?
