Why this presidential candidate is watching golf instead of worrying about Donald Trump

Who could blame Ohio governor John Kasich for ignoring political news this weekend? The British Open had us all glued to coverage from St. Andrews.

Kasich, who became the most recent Republican Party candidate (the 16th one) to declare for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination, says he's not worried about the fact Donald Trump has a huge lead in a recent poll.

"I don't think about it, George. I have paid no attention to that whole business," Kasich said to ABC's George Stephanopoulos in an interview.

"I paid a lot of attention to the British Open," he said. "Glad to see that guy from Iowa won."
