Betting odds of Tiger Woods, Bubba Watson and others being the final Ryder Cup captain's pick

Matt Kuchar floated Tiger Woods as a possibility. Golf Digest's Shane Ryan said it's definitely not Bubba Watson. Others like Golf Channel's Brandel Chamblee think Daniel Berger deserves a shot. We've got two weeks to debate who will be Davis Love III's final Ryder Cup captain's pick, but in the meantime, the betting lines could give us our best idea of who has the best chance of accompanying Team USA to Hazeltine.

Courtesy of UK sports book Sportingbet, here are the current odds to make the squad:

As you can see, Watson, currently the highest-ranked player in the world not on either team at No. 7, is the overwhelming favorite (You'd have to wager $200 to win $100). And Woods, who just announced his intention to return to the PGA Tour next month at the Safeway Open, is the longest shot on the list at 200-to-1 odds. Don't be a sucker. It's NOT happening.

It gets interesting in between. Young guns Daniel Berger (3.3/1) and Justin Thomas (6/1) are next favored to nab the selection after Watson. Then there's Jim Furyk (12/1) and the hottest player of late, Ryan Moore (16/1), before it really falls off to Gary Woodland at 33/1. Surprisingly, Kevin Na and his eight top 10s this season, is getting little love at 40/1.

Many were surprised Watson wasn't one of Love's three selections on Monday when he went with Rickie Fowler, Matt Kuchar and J.B. Holmes instead. Watson has struggled of late, with no top-10 finishes since March and he also owns a 3-8 career Ryder Cup record.

Of course, all of this could change drastically at next week's Tour Championship, where those in the field at East Lake will have one last audition for captain Love. And if you go by Sportingbet's numbers, everyone outside of Watson, Berger and Thomas still has a lot of work to do if they want to be DL3's fourth pick.
