Augusta homeowners: Where's the easy money?

The Masters has always been a veritable annuity for homeowners willing to rent out their houses during tournament week, but the slumping economy has made it more difficult to do so, while the rates they charge have been plummeting, according to the NBC affiliate in Augusta.

"There are companies that are saying when you're laying people off we really can't afford to go to an event like this," Dianne Starr of Corporate Quarters, Inc., told the television stations.

"The prices are down. There's no doubt about it. Our out-of-town clients are asking homeowners to reduce their price."
