A vote in favor of Dove Mountain

The new Dove Mountain Course at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club on which the WGC-Match Play Championship was played won't necessarily win accolades from the players, who were generally disturbed by the myriad and severe undulations in the greens. Tournament winner Geoff Ogilvy simply said the greens were, "very different."

Veteran Canadian golf writer Lorne Rubenstein of the Globe and Mail offers an interesting (and convincing) rebuttal that concludes with this: "The greens challenged the players and made the tournament fun to watch. Here's to less uniformity and more unpredictability in tournament courses. Here's to greens that heave and players who welcome their challenges."
