In case you haven't heard, there's a youth movement taking over the PGA Tour. The season's first two winners, Emiliano Grillo and Smylie Kaufman, have been 23-year-old rookies, and now 22-year-old Justin Thomas -- practically a veteran in his second year on tour -- is in great shape to notch his first tour title in Malaysia at the CIMB Classic.
On Friday, Thomas fired a 61 to break the course record at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club and take the 36-hole lead. The only thing disappointing about his day was the fact he parred the final three holes (two par 4s measuring under 340 yards and a par 5) to narrowly miss shooting the seventh 59 in PGA tour history.
