STORY: Member of 2012 NCAA-champion Texas Longhorns; won 2016 Sanderson Farms Championship.HARD WORKER
After freshman year I was burned out on playing golf, so I worked at Brook Hollow Golf Club mowing fairways and cutting cups. It was therapeutic, and I'll probably do it again at some point. It was that much fun.TOUGH CHOICE
The NCAA will be my greatest achievement of all time—more than my first tour win. It's something I get chills just talking about now. I can't see how that can ever be beat.–With E. Michael Johnson

DRIVER
SPECS: Callaway GBB Epic, 8.5˚, 45⅛ inches, Fujikura Pro 73x TS X-flex, D-3.5 swingweightMy old Nike driver had a fade bias, but this has a slight draw bias, so I put the movable weight out on the toe to compensate. The hosel is set so it opens the face. I'm left-handed and don't want the ball to go right.

FAIRWAY WOOD
SPECS: Callaway GBB Epic Sub Zero, 13.8˚, Fujikura Pro 73x TS X-flex, 42⅝ inches, D-3.5 swingweight I recently changed to the Sub Zero model. I need a fairway wood that gives me plenty of spin and height going into par 5s, and this does that.

HYBRID
SPECS: Callaway Apex, 18˚, Fujikura Motore Speeder TS 8.8, D-3.6 swingweight This hybrid has been a terrific addition. It's unreal out of the rough. I can hit all kinds of shots with it. Really versatile.

IRONS
SPECS: Callaway Apex Pro 3-iron (pictured); Callaway Apex MB '18 4- through 9-iron. True Temper Dynamic Gold X100 shafts, Golf Pride Tour Velvet 58 round gripsMy teacher, Randy Smith, got me into blades. When you pure a shot, the feel can't be matched.

WEDGES
SPECS: Callaway MD3 (46˚); Nike Engage (53˚); Callaway MD3 Milled (59˚) (pictured), True Temper Dynamic Gold S400 shaftsI've bent my pitching wedge from 48 to 46 degrees. My lob wedge has a straight leading edge, but not so sharp that it digs.

PUTTER
SPECS: Odyssey Toulon Design Austin, 2.5˚ degrees of loft, cut to 34½ inchesI wanted a soft feel, but not marshmallow-like. The shallow milling on the face offers the feel I like. The burnt orange "T" is for my University of Texas Longhorns.

MR. CLEAN
I don't mark my Callaway Chrome Soft X. I like the clean look and never run into an issue because everyone else puts a mark on their ball.

LONG STAR PROUD
I'm not superstitious, but I like my University of Texas coins. They have a nice weight. I also use Texas quarters, I like getting those in change.

QUICK FIX
Sometimes I crack a nail or some skin. This quick-drying glue gets me back in action in a hurry.

SMOOTH MOVE
A lot was made of me tapping the tail of this gator on the sixth hole at Bay Hill, but I'd done it before. I wasn't afraid of it. He looked like he needed some exercise.

NICE CATCH
I love getting away from the course to do some fishing. I caught this six-pounder in April on a small lake in east Texas. In the offseason, I'm either hunting or catching red fish and speckled trout.
