The Week In Style: 11.04.14

What worked -- and what didn't -- this week on tour

Share story
Marcel Siem
Success for Siem at the BMW Masters in Shanghai! There's a lot of look going on here with the ponytail, neon pants and highlighter accents on his polo but, at the end of the day he pulls it all off with great energy. This super coordinated look isn't always the right way to play it but Marcel makes his mark with his fourth European Tour win.
Seung-yul Noh
South Korea's Seung-yul Noh lines up a crisp look in one of Nike's new digital melange polos. These heather looks come off best with flat finish and solid trousers like these optic white ones Noh's got going here.Nike Golf
Ryan Moore
I like Ryan in this dark setup, with charcoal trousers and the gray polo. It's a solid, strong look for a powerful dude. He gets extra points for rocking the tonal belt strap and creating a seamless look from top to bottom. That said, judging by the sweat stains across the field at the CIMB Classic in Malaysia, I'm sure he would have been more comfortable in some lighter looks this weekend.True Linkswear
Charl Schwartzel and Paul Casey
That said, there were a bunch of guys working lighter colored looks really well at the CIMB Classic. Paul Casey and Charl Schwartzel pulled together two light gray rigs this weekend to beat the heat in style. Great work here. These gray shades feel like a more contemporary approach to cool warm weather looks than your standard whites.Nike Golf
Angelo Que
Talk about color, Angelo Que cues up another radioactive rig with these neon polo and purple pants on Saturday. Again, I don't mind any of these pieces on their own, but all together?
Lee Westwood
If you do feel like rocking some high intensity shades, follow Lee's lead here and pair it with a crisp white trouser and call it a day.Dunlop Sport
Billy Horschel
Another cool look from Kuala Lumpur, Billy Horschel executes the bold bottom perfectly by keeping everything else in his look solid and simple.RLX-Ralph Lauren
Ian Poulter
We saw some more of Poulter's new IJP duds this week at the BMW Masters and if you were an 80's kid this kit may be for you. Dark geometric looks with neon accents come across with a very serious Miami Vice vibe.IJP Design
Simon Dyson
Some good, some bad here from England's Simon Dyson. Geometric prints are trending and we've seen a bunch of great iterations from Puma and Nike this year already, but Dyson's diamonds are little strange looking. Good points, though, for keeping his base layer in the same color as his Polo to smooth out this low temp layered move. Also, those custom green FJ Shield Tips are pretty smart, too.FootjoyRLX-Ralph Lauren
Branden Grace
Sometimes a sharp update on a classic style is all you need to make something feel fresh and new. These neon green zipper accents on the full zip Callaway tech vest do just that. Sharp style on South Africa's Brenden Grace this weekend at the BMW Masters.Callaway Apparel
Thorbjorn Olesen
Olesen with his second straight week on the Week in Style leader board, and for good reason as the young stud rocks Nike's killer camo trousers. Camo can be tough and Olesen does a great job of keeping this look more GQ than Guns & Ammo.Nike Golf
Ryo Ishikawa
This is yet another cool microprint floral pattern for Ishikawa but that's not why he's on the list this week. I may be nitpicking here, but Ryo's such a lean dude that his wide belt and big buckle look out of proportion with his slender frame, slim trouser and tightly-patterned polo. If you're on the slimmer side, try a narrower belt to keep your style in sync.Callaway Apparel
Na Yeon Choi
Stripes may be trending on all tours this season but if you wear them vertically you'll end up looking like a referee. If your gonna rock some stripes, keep them running east to west.
Lydia Ko
Lydia Ko kills it at the Taiwan Championship this weekend in one of the strongest looks I've seen on the LPGA Tour. Her tightly-patterned shorts and untucked pink polo look fun, feminine and comfortable. This kit is a perfect fit with Ko's personality.Callaway Apparel
