Dustin Johnson
DJ looked great from tee to green on the way to his BMW Championship win. Johnson is one of the best-styled dudes in the Adidas stable and the key to his strongest looks are the flatter, more matte shades that give his classically simple set-ups a modern edge.

Joost Luiten
Congrats to Joost Luiten for taking home the "W" at the KLM Open hosted in his home nation of the Netherlands. His outfit, however, begs the question; if the country doesn’t celebrate Halloween, is orange and black still a difficult color combination? The answer – yes. Orange and black are too highly saturated tones that look awkward on just about everything except for a jack-o-lantern.

Stylish stripe shirts are all about setting and color variation. Both the bold brick stripe and wider faint stripe on either side of this classic navy line in Kisner’s polo help make one of the oldest looks in the book feel fresher than ever.

Similarly, even in two-tone looks, sharp contrast between bold and fine stripes can create super modern, almost textured looks from super classic patterns.

Tour trend alert: Bright blues and blacks make for more of a dark, dressy and modern color combination than most of the classic club combos out there. On or off the course, make sure that if you put this into play in your own game that you keep the main colors in your kit limited to blues and black only. Get too creative here and it can start to look very disorganized very quickly.

Rickie Fowler
It’s too bad Rickie’s game didn’t grow into form the way his stache did by Sunday at the BMW Championship. Fowler fell just short of the Tour Championship cut line this weekend, but his mustache was clearly ready for a deep playoff run. If the kid keeps this up could we see full Fu Manchu status come the Ryder Cup?

Patrick Reed
This is the first final round Sunday that I can remember where Reed did not wear his standard red polo, black trouser combination. While fit is clearly style issue No. 1 for Patrick Reed, I’ll take improvement anywhere I can get it…

Roberto Castro
This week’s edition of small details that make big differences is brought to you by Roberto Castro’s button down, short sleeve polo. The structure of a dress shirt with the fit and fabric of a polo – what on earth took so long for this great '60s style to come back around?

Billy Horschel
Follow Billy Horschel’s lead from Thursday at the BMW Championship if you want to add some bold bottoms to your rotation this season. Keep your pattern abstract and limit your colors to shades of navy or gray and you’ll successfully tread lightly into fancier pants without going full floral on your foursome.

Jamie Lovemark
I hadn’t seen these gold accented Lunars before but Lovemark put these into play perfectly at the BMW Championship. On or off the course, the best way to build a little bling into your game without going full Shah’s of Sunset is to ground your gilt against well fitting, simple and solid looks.
